Best Practices & Resources

  • Use up-to-date, quality resources and reporting best practices. Be sure to openly cite all resources (including images.)
  • Practice and time your presentation. This will help you feel prepared and ensure your presentation fits within your allotted session time.
    • Bonus: practice your presentation in front of a friend or colleague and ask for their feedback!
  • Plan for audience engagement. Build in opportunities to engage with your audience, including time for questions throughout or at the end.
  • Provide a takeaway. If appropriate for the content of your presentation, consider what takeaway materials might be helpful for your audience.
    • One way to do this sustainably is to share your email address with your audience and ask them to reach out to you if they'd like the takeaway or to continue the conversation.
  • Check out resources from the ADRP Content Committee.
