The ADRP 2026 Service Project
This year, ADRP Summit attendees will have the opportunity to support the Domestic Violence Resource Center (DVRC), a Reno-based nonprofit that has been helping survivors of domestic violence rebuild safe and hopeful lives since 1977. DVRC provides critical services, including emergency shelter, transitional housing, advocacy, support groups, protection order assistance, children's programs, financial coaching, and pet services for individuals and families escaping violence.
The organization's mission reflects this year's Summit theme, Resilience and Reinvention. Every day, DVRC helps survivors move from crisis to stability, creating opportunities for healing, empowerment, and a fresh start. They are currently expanding their impact through the development of a new shelter facility that will significantly increase their capacity to serve those in need.
Ways to Support:
Welcome Kit Donations Help create a warm welcome for survivors and families entering shelter by donating travel-sized toiletries and personal care items. These essentials help provide comfort, dignity, and a sense of stability during a difficult transition.
Notes of Encouragement Write a brief note of affirmation, support, or welcome that can be included in resident welcome kits. A few kind words can make a lasting difference for someone beginning a new chapter.
Financial Contributions Financial gifts help open doors for survivors seeking safety and a fresh start. Donations support the wide range of services provided by DVRC, including emergency shelter, transitional housing, advocacy, children's services, transportation, food and clothing assistance, pet services, and financial coaching. These unrestricted funds allow the organization to respond quickly to the unique needs of each individual and family they serve.
