ADRP 2023: Know Before You Go

Packing Advice

In October, the average temperature in Minneapolis generally has lows in the 50s°F (14.7°C) and highs in the 70s°F (26°C) so as you pack, please keep in mind that the Conference Center will have air conditioning, and rooms may be chilly. It is wise to bring layers to help you stay comfortable whether you are inside or outside.

Dress Code

This dress code for the event is business casual. If you tend to get cold, you may want to bring a jacket or a sweater as the rooms in the conference hotels tend to be cold.

 

ADRP 2023 Service Project - People Serving People 

Attendees will have the opportunity, as in years past, to support a local non-profit. This year we are partnering with People Serving People. It is the largest and most comprehensive emergency shelter for families experiencing homelessness in Minnesota and a dedicated leader in homelessness prevention. Their vision is healed families and transformed communities. They exist to see families thrive. Learn More

How Can You Help? 
  • Bring a (new) costume for our on-site collection. Your contribution will share the gift of wonder and fun with a child (or an adult) who may be experiencing homelessness.
  • Order items from the Target Registry Items Needed List to support families.
  • Make a tax-deductible financial contribution to People Serving People to help support their mission.

Travel, Directions, & Parking

All conference sessions and receptions will be held at The Hilton Minneapolis. The Hilton Minneapolis is 12 miles from Minneapolis-Saint Paul Airport. It is located in the heart of downtown, connected by skyway to the Minneapolis Convention Center and the financial district.

Onsite Registration and Information Desk Hours

The conference registration/information desk for the conference will be open at the during the following hours:

  • Wednesday, October 4: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Thursday, October 5: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Friday, October 6: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Saturday, October 7: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Upon arriving, keep an eye out for directional signage to help guide you around the venue and lead you to the registration area. Once you arrive at the conference on the first day, check-in at the registration desk to pick up your name badge and other conference resources. The registration desk will remain open for your conference or other ADRP-related questions. Or, you can just pop by to say hello to our ADRP office staff!

Dine-Arounds

Did you sign up for a Conference Dine-Around? Dine-Around hosts will be there to help guide you on getting to the restaurant. Learn More and Sign Up.

As a friendly reminder, while signing up for a dine-around is free, attendees are responsible for the cost of their own meal, drinks, and transportation to and from the restaurant(s). 

Conference Resources

You have access to several great resources to help you navigate the conference. In the attendee packet, you will receive upon arrival, you will find a printed schedule-at-a-glance with a map of the venue, and WiFi information. All conference information is available in the conference mobile app.

The app will be your best tool for navigating the conference. If you haven't already downloaded it, you can do so through both the Apple and Android app stores by searching "ADRP Conference."

After downloading the app, you will have the conference schedule, speaker information, attendee list, session materials, sponsor and exhibitor information, and much more right at your fingertips. You will be able to create your schedule inside the App by selecting the sessions you wish to attend. Session selections made during the pre-registration process were for room assignment planning purposes only. You may attend any session you wish on-site.

Passport to Prizes

The 2023 ADRP International Conference would not be possible without the support of our sponsors and exhibitors. Thank you!

The Passport to Prizes this year is completely optional but offers a unique way to encourage and facilitate conversation between attendees and our sponsors/exhibitors. You will receive your passport card in your packet when you check in. This year we ask that you answer two questions from each participating exhibitor and get a sticker at each sponsor/exhibitor you visit during the conference.

After submitting your Passport, you will be entered into a drawing to win prizes donated by our sponsors and exhibitors, as well as a grand prize of a complimentary registration 2024 ADRP Conference registration.
