Stewardship TechXchange: Five Year Gold Watch Edition

Sara Moise and Cheryl Lintner

Thursday, September 22
3:30 PM – 4:30 PM (MT)

About the Session

Now in its fifth year, the Stewardship TechXchange will once again feature a panel of donor relations experts sharing both new tech and tech we continue to love. Whether software, digital equipment, e-communications, social media, or the newest tech gadget, there are a multitude of creative ways we can incorporate technology into donor relations' and you do not need to be a tech geek to know-how! Join us for this rapid-fire technology sharing session to hear how peers are using technology not only to steward donors but also on-the-job tech solutions to make your life easier. Participants are encouraged to bring their own favorite tech solutions to share as well, and each attendee will leave the Stewardship TechXchange with an updated resource list of tested technology solutions to help guide the way.

Learning Objectives

  • Attendees will learn about practical applications of technology that can help steward donors in new and creative ways, as well as help donor relations professionals to be more efficient with our everyday tasks.

  • Each attendee will also receive a comprehensive Stewardship TechXchange Resource List compiled based on peer recommendations.

  • Attendees will be encouraged to use both the panel presentation content and Resource List to explore and implement new technology resources in their workplace on their own.

About the Speakers

Sara Moise
Senior Director of Donor Relations
Tulane University

After graduating from the University of Southern California believing (incorrectly) that she was destined to become an attorney, Sara Moise joined development in 2007. She began her career as a jack-of-all-trades at the Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program funding Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She then transitioned to higher education and specialized in stewardship at Keck Medicine of USC, running an extensive acknowledgment and recognition program during a $6b campaign – then the highest goal ever publicly announced by any university. After stretching her wings at cultural and advocacy organizations, she has found that higher education advancement is home. Today, she leads a comprehensive, best-in-class stewardship and donor relations program for Tulane University through a $1.5b campaign. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from USC and a Certificate in Fundraising and Institutional Development from UCLA.

Cheryl Lintner
Executive Director of Donor Relations
Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation

Cheryl Lintner started her development career in 2008 in a small non-profit based within a healthcare institution. In 2010, she moved to donor relations in higher education at Rutgers University, then in 2013, returned to healthcare to develop the first comprehensive donor relations program for three hospital foundations within the RWJ Barnabas Health system. Cheryl currently leads the donor relations team responsible for 17 hospitals and network entities under the Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation, where she has worked to grow a donor relations program that includes multiple, recurring touches for all donors and an emphasis on major donor stewardship. Prior to entering the non-profit sector, Cheryl worked in the legal field and in academia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and History from the University of Delaware and a doctorate in Anthropology/Archaeology from the University of California, Berkeley.
