Session 5E

The Intractable Issue of Metrics & Measurement: A Participatory Session

Trish Telesco Morgan, M.A.

Thursday, September 22
2:00 – 3:00 PM (MT)

About the Session

Virtually every gathering of donor relations professionals will inevitably turn to the question of how we measure our work. How much work do we do? Is it individual reports, group reports, the number of donors whose stewardship we oversee, the number of funds we report on? How do we judge the success of our work? Do we check in with the donors in any way? Surveys?

In this session, we will collaboratively sketch out the problems with metricizing our work and then seek ways to address these problems. Join your colleagues from around the country in sharing best practices and brainstorming new solutions.
